Please reach us at louise@frangipanicakecreations.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Most wedding bookings are usually made 6-9 months in advance, however I limit the number of wedding cakes I make per week to keep my quality and consistency high, so if you definitely want to book me please do so in plenty of time! I am happy to take bookings up to 2 years in advance. I do sometimes have short-notice availability so please do still contact me if your wedding date is quite soon, as I will always accommodate bookings if I can!
Yes! I always like to personally deliver wedding cakes and set up in situ, to ensure your cake arrives in perfect condition and looks perfect for your special day.
In general, I deliver across Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, into East Hertfordshire, South Worcestershire and Warwickshire, North Wiltshire and West Oxfordshire. If you are unsure please do get in touch with where your reception venue is located and I will let you know if I can deliver there.
I have a handy guide that tells you how many portions you can get out of different sized cakes, but it is totally up to you - we can use dummy tiers to add extra layers and height without adding too many portions, or have a smaller cake with cutting cakes behind the scenes.
This is a very tricky question, as every single cake is bespoke and the size, wedding location, flavours and level of detail do all affect the cost. Before you commit to booking I am happy to provide a detailed, bespoke quote so you know exactly how much your cake will cost before the deposit is paid. For a ballpark idea of "from" pricing, check out my wedding cake pricing guide
I have a long list on this page - this is by no means exhaustive though. If you have a favourite that isn't listed I will be happy to make it for you.
Of course! It is possible to have every tier a different flavour if you wish - I do however always offer you expert guidance on how to balance the number of portions you have to serve.
Absolutely - you wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first and I firmly believe the taste of your cake is as important as the look. Unlike many other bakers I am happy to provide complimentary samples before you confirm your booking - I just ask that a consultation has been booked first or a full quote has been provided.
I am very happy to do this - many couples opt for a tier that is suitable for all their guests with dietary restrictions - I often make vegan, nut free and made-without-gluten tiers! I can also provide cupcakes or cutting cakes to suit these guests.
Lots of visuals! This really helps for us to be on the same page. It doesn't have to be pictures of whole cakes you like - I often suggest that couples save any cakes that "speak" to them, even if they don't love the whole design, as we can often hone down the different elements that you are drawn to. Wedding invitations, images of flowers, fabric samples and even venue images can all be used to help tailor your cake to suit you perfectly.
I personally love both! It is totally down to personal preference as both mediums can be used to make stunning cakes. One thing I often get told is "I hate the taste of fondant" - and here is a secret - so do I! The main thing to remember is that whichever coating you have on the outside of the cake, the inside will be identical once it is cut up and served, so your choice doesn't actually have any bearing on the taste of your cake, so its totally down to which "look" you prefer. I have separated my Wedding Cake Galleries into cakes by finish, so you can have a look through and decide which you prefer!
I am always happy to arrange fresh flowers into your cake - I will include in the quote the time it requires me to prepare the flowers so they are safe to use - which involves wiring and taping the stems and using plastic picks so that the cut stems never come into contact with the cake itself.
I can provide flowers if required, but I do usually recommend that your florist provides them, as that way they will match the rest of the flowers at the wedding.
Yes I do - have a look at my Cake Stand Hire page for details of the stands that I can offer. I am also very happy to work with cake stands provided by your venue, and always double check the size of these to make sure your cake it suitable.
A 20% deposit is required to confirm all wedding bookings. Until this has been received your date is not confirmed and can always be re-sold.
